Corporate Prophecy

Eileen Fisher:

Corporate Prophecy for 2010:
This is the Year of Restoration, Jubilation and Resurrection

The following corporate prophetic word was given by Eileen Fisher on January 5, 2010 during her weekly Prophetic School of the Holy Spirit meeting in Colorado Springs, Colorado:

This is the Year of Restoration

"Stand...Stand...Stand and command. Command the wind of adversity to come at your back, no longer at your face; so that it can be a driving force that will drive you into My heart stronger and stronger.

"Command the pain to be changed into a plan, so that that plan will allow Me to change the pain for My gain," said the Lord. "Lift up the past, for I am not a God of waste—but, I am a God of creation. I am a God who gathers up the leftovers. Whether they are insignificant or of great treasure, I gather them.

"Tonight, I am gathering you to My heart to hold you; to breathe fresh on you; to provoke you to enter in to My presence; to provoke you to jealousy, to come after My heart as a passionate lover. For My heart is going to capture your heart. And I will drive out fear, bitterness, regret, pain, rejection, abandonment. I will come as a champion of your heart and drive out all other things of destruction.

"I have come to unchain your heart, your spirit, your mind, even your bodies. I have come to unchain you—for I want the shackles broken, that you will run in My Spirit. Then you will leap and you will fly in My Spirit. You will learn to glide in My Spirit, and then you will have learned how to abide in My Spirit.

"For this will be the year of quick growth. Quick growth. This season of quick growth will also be the season of quickening by My Spirit. I will quicken to your remembrance My Word, My promises, My majesty, My authority. I will quicken to your remembrance, in a split instant, the weapon for the warfare. For I see, standing before Me this night, weary warriors; but, I stand before you this night as a worshiping, warring, wonderful Commander.

"And I promise you this: I will raise you up to command. For you will become My voice, My hand, My feet and My heart. You will remember this as the year of restoration.

This is the Year of Jubilation

"It was spoken forth many years ago: the year of Jubilee, the year of Jubilee! And it only left a deposit of disappointment in the hearts and lives of My people. But I say: This is not the Year of Jubilee—this is the Year of Jubilation! (This is the year) you will learn to exercise the victory. You will learn to enforce the victory. You will see unbelief changed into faith. You will see those hidden sins that have tried to become partners in your bed, so that they would rob you of My sweet fellowship and intimacy. You will see Me come in as a ravished lover. And I will cast down and cast out everything that is not clean.

"For I am going to lie beside My Bride. And as I lie beside her, I will whisper in her ear her orders. And I will stroke her hair. And as I do, I will strengthen her thinking. I will strengthen her heart, her mind, her will. I will strengthen even her spine, for she has been bent over by shame caused by others. But I will strengthen her spine so she will stand strong and know who she is. She will no longer walk with eyes that are cast down, apologizing. But instead, she will carry in her eyes the authority of My eyes, that will cause others to cast away their eyes—the eyes of unbelief, of challenge.

"For I am about to call My Bride to rise up from the bed of apathy; for she has taken herself to bed because of weakness and a sickness in heart. But I am coming to lie beside her, and I shall sit her up, strong. And then, I shall gently stand her and I shall parade her. And she shall march in the parade of the King of Kings. She will carry the sword of My Word with victory, and she will be known as the Bride of Valor.

"Resurrection Will Renew My Bride This Year," Says the Lord

"For I say unto you, you are worthy of My Blood. You are worthy of My death. Now, you will come to understand that you are worthy of My resurrection. For 'Resurrection!' will be the battle cry. Resurrection will renew My Bride this year: Resurrection of multitudes of broken dreams, resurrection of finances that were robbed, resurrection of identity (for My Bride lost her identity and wanted to become anonymous, rather than become belittled).

"You are about to see a giant of a Bride. Get ready to become mobile in My Spirit, for this will be My battle cry. Flex your muscles, My Bride! For this will show the strength of the coming King," says the Lord your God.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Church Age to Kingdom Age

A Time of Transition

By Wade E Taylor

Because we are at the end of the Church Age and the beginning of the time of transition into the Kingdom Age, many are going through difficult and trying wilderness experiences. These wilderness experiences are for a purpose that we must understand, if we are to be fully prepared for the outworking of our calling and ministry.

Two of the Biblical transition messengers, Moses and John the Baptist, were each taken into an extended wilderness experience to be prepared for the transition in their times. Today, we also are living in a time of transition. Therefore, many are being called apart by the Lord to be “made ready” to fulfill their part in all that is about to take place, in both the Church and the nations.

“Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.” Luke 3:2

Spiritual new beginnings often begin in a wilderness experience - in the privacy of our personal relationship with the Lord, where separated from all else, we interact with Him alone. John the Baptist was called apart into a desolate place for a very specific purpose. Later, when asked who he was, his response reveals the deep work of preparation that had taken place during his time in the wilderness.

“He said, I am a voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as Isaiah the prophet said.” John 1:23 NASB

In effect, John the Baptist said, “I am so emptied of self, that I have become the expression of the voice and feelings of another (Jesus), in every aspect and part of my being.”

In this present time, there are those who are being moved upon by the Holy Spirit in order to be “made ready,” that they might respond as John the Baptist did. These are being prepared to become prophetic voices through whom the Lord will not only speak His word, but so fully reveal Himself that it will appear as if they had become Jesus.

Moses spent 40 years in a wilderness experience that prepared him to bring deliverance to the Lord’s people of that day. There is much in his experience that applies to us today. We should prayerfully study the life and ministry of Moses to see the parallels with the needs of the present day.

“And after six days, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John his brother, and brings them up into an high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and His face did shine as the sun, and His raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah talking with Him.” Matthew 17:1‑3

Notice that this happened at the end of the “sixth” day. Since Scripture gives no indication of the time frame for this “sixth day,” this is probably a reference to the end times.

“But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” II Peter 3:8 NAS

The list of genealogies in Scripture confirms that man has been on the earth for 6,000 years, or six, one thousand year days. This indicates that we are at the end of the sixth day of man’s time, and approaching the seventh day of His Millennial Kingdom rule. Moses and Elijah speak of two end-time ministries, which at this present time are beginning to function again in power and authority.

At the height of the ministry of Moses, he brought the Lord’s people out of commercial bondage. They were forced to make bricks without straw, or today, money not backed by gold, which relates to the intense financial pressures that most face in our day and time.

At the height of Elijah’s ministry, he dealt with the prophets of Baal. Through a visitation of fire (the manifest glory and power of the Lord), false religion was destroyed. Today, through the gradual increase of the manifest presence of the Lord, many are being set free and transformed, which is far more than legalistic preaching ever accomplished.

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” II Corinthians 3:18

Before Elijah could be used, he had to sit beside a brook until it dried up. He then became dependent on provision received through a widow who had only enough for one meal for herself and her son. Before Moses could be used, he had to be taken into the wilderness and reduced to the point at which he told the Lord that he could no longer speak.

“And Moses said to the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since You have spoken to Your servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” Exodus 4:10

Moses knew that he was called. He had attempted in his own strength and ability to fulfill his calling, but he failed and fled into the wilderness, unknowingly into the perfect will of God for him.

“And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian: For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.” Acts 7:23‑25

The purpose of the wilderness was to bring Moses to the end of his natural ability, and into the place of complete dependence upon the Lord. In Acts 7:22 we read, “Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.” The Lord desired to use the capacity that this training in Egypt had created, but not the ability itself.

The greatest human ability could not accomplish the deliverance of Israel from their bondage. Moses had to come to a place of emptiness so that all of his trust would be in the Lord.

And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sinai an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.” Acts 7:30

Moses was so capable that it took forty years for him to come to the full end of all his human ability. Understanding this principle will help many who are confused about the reason for the seemingly never ending dealings that they are experiencing at this present time.

“And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.” Exodus 3:4

It is important for us to understand that the Lord’s intervention came only after Moses had been so totally reduced from all of his ability and self sufficiency, that finally, he noticed the Lord’s manifested presence in a burning bush, and turned aside to stand in that presence.

The fact that the bush burned, but was not consumed, tells us that it had been following Moses for quite some time, possibly for 40 years. While Moses was religiously progressing toward the mountain of God, the Lord had been there all along, patiently waiting.

“When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came to him, Saying, I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold. Then said the Lord to him, Put off your shoes from your feet: for the place where you stand is holy ground.” Acts 7:31-33

The Lord revealed Himself to Moses as the God of the present. The experience that Moses had at the burning bush relates to the end time restoration of the glory of the Lord, and to His Parousia - His manifest presence in the end time. In a similar way, the Lord has a present word for each of us, and He is waiting for us to respond.

“Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: But the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1‑3

We are living in a time when the Lord will begin to appear to us, in order to prepare us for the closing out of the Gentile Age, and the setting up of His Millennial Kingdom. We can learn much from the experience of Moses, and his being prepared for the deliverance of the Lord’s people of his day.

“I have seen, I have seen the affliction of My people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you into Egypt.” Acts 7:34

Previously, Moses had attempted to deliver Israel in his own strength and ability, but now he stood in the manifest presence of the Lord and received the enabling power of the Lord. He had attempted to work for the Lord, but now, he received a present word from the Lord and is ready to allow the Lord to work through him.

It is one thing to be called, but it is another to be sent. The first time Moses tried to deliver his brethren, he knew that he was called, but utterly failed. Now he was being sent. Notice that the Lord said to him, “Come ‑ I will send you.” Our personal relationship to the Lord, and the time that we spend in His presence, are of primary importance and foundational to all that we do.

As we turn aside to “wait” upon the Lord, seeking to better recognize His voice so we can respond to His presence and learn obedience, we will gain experience in following Him. Only then will we receive the necessary divine enabling to fulfill the calling that we have received.

When the Lord told Moses to take off his shoes, He was saying, “You have gone as far as you can go in your own strength and ways. Now you must walk in My shoes with My strength, and by My Word alone.”

Many today are feeling that they have gone as far as they can go, and are so worn out that they are considering giving up. Little do they realize that only now are they ready to begin an effective ministry. All they need do is to turn aside into His presence and wait before the Lord. In Exodus 2:14‑15, Moses had trembled and fled from Pharaoh. Now, something quite different is about to happen. Pharaoh will tremble before Moses, and finally let the Lord’s people go (Exodus 12). The power of God, manifesting through Moses, brought the world power of that day to its knees.

In the same way, there is now an urgent need for those who will again stand in the “presence” of the Lord, in order to receive a “burning present word” that will affect the Pharaohs of our day and time, and bring the deliverance that we desperately need.

Exciting 2010!

Matt Sorger:

Prophetic Insights for 2010: Rain, Righteousness, Harvest, Anointed Writing, and much more!

As I have been waiting on the Lord moving into 2010, several themes and Scriptures have been highlighted to me by the Holy Spirit. It is a crucial time we are entering into. I have some wonderful prophetic encouragements to share as well as some urgent prophetic warnings concerning the year ahead.

As we meditate on God's promises and the following Scriptures, I believe 2010 will be a year of great fruitfulness in our lives!

Seven Key Words for 2010: Fruit, Rain, Righteousness, Harvest, Overflow, Restoration and Provision (Joel 2:22-26)

• Fruit: In 2010 Jesus is really looking for fruit. God desires to make His people strong and fruitful. Gifts are not enough. It's by the fruit of the Spirit that we will be known. There will be a strong focus on developing spiritual character, maturity and fruitfulness in 2010. You will discern true disciples by their fruit, not their gifts (Joel 2:22, Matthew 7:13-27; Matthew 21:18-19; John 15:2-8, 16).

• Rain, Righteousness and Harvest: The rain of God's glory will come in righteousness, enabling a great harvest. The former rain is the autumn rain that comes for planting seeds. It softens the ground so seeds can be planted. The latter rain comes to ripen the fruit for harvest. God is sending His rain so that we will not only be able to plant good seeds, but also reap the harvest from those seeds. It will be harvest time for many!

As we plant the seed of God's Word into our hearts, the Holy Spirit will cause an abundant harvest of fruitfulness to spring forth. God will rain down in righteousness upon His people and will cause seeds that have been planted to come to full maturity and harvest. God is bringing His people to a place of maturity.

The threshing floors will be full of grain, signifying a great harvest. This will include a harvest of lost souls as well as a harvest of God's promises. The key is that the rain comes in righteousness. The word for righteousness can also be translated in Hebrew "teacher for righteousness." The moving of the Holy Spirit is coming with teachings for righteousness in 2010 (Joel 2:23-24)!

• Overflow: There will be a great overflow of God's anointing (wine and oil) in our lives. We will have more than enough. God's anointing will so overflow that not only will we be able to live victoriously ourselves, but we will have enough anointing to overflow and minister to others (Joel 2:24).

• Restoration and Provision: Years that were lost will be restored. God's people will experience great restoration in their lives this year. The prerequisite for this restoration is a full turning of the heart towards God. As hearts turn to the Lord, lost years will be restored as God deals wondrously with His people. What was lost over years will be restored in one year. With restoration God's people will walk in supernatural provision. They will not need to run to the world for help. The world will run to the Church for help (Joel 2:12-14, Joel 2:25-26; Proverbs 6:31).

Preachers of Righteousness will Emerge Under a Strong Anointing

These preachers will be full of truth and righteousness. They will walk with God in a special way and turn many from iniquity. They will be true messengers of God. There will be a strong contrast between righteous preaching and those who preach from an unrighteous lifestyle. Unrighteous preaching will cause people to stumble.

The law of truth was in (Levi's) mouth, and unrighteousness was not found in his lips; he walked with Me in peace and uprightness and turned many away from iniquity. For the priest's lips should guard and keep pure the knowledge (of My law), and the people should seek (inquire for and require) instruction at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. But you have turned aside out of the way; you have caused many to stumble by your instruction (in the law); you have corrupted the covenant of Levi (with Me), says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 2:6-8

A Clear Understanding of God's Righteous Judgment will Come Forth

God's judgments are always redemptive in nature. They do not condemn or accuse. They confront sin in humility and love, seeking to bring people to repentance for the sake of salvation and restoration to God. As God raises up preachers of righteousness, sin will be confronted and dealt with. There will be a strong conviction of sin.

An understanding of true grace will come forth. People will begin to understand that grace is more than just mercy when they miss it. Rather, it is the power of God in the life of the Believer to overcome sin in all its forms and manifestations. True grace will be preached. Rather than condoning sin, power will be given to overcome it (John 8:3-11; 1 Cor 5:9-13; 2 Thes 3:14-15; Acts 13:8-12; Acts 5:1-11).

A Deep Call for Consecration will be Given by the Holy Spirit

This will happen as God prepares and calls vessels to be set apart for His power and end-time purposes. God will come with a suddenly to His people. This will be accompanied by deep refinement and purification and will cause our lives to be offered in righteousness.

"Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. And the Lord (the Messiah), Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the Messenger or Angel of the covenant, Whom you desire, behold, He shall come, says the Lord of hosts. But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap; He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the priests, the sons of Levi, and refine them like gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord offerings in righteousness." Malachi 3:1-3 (Also see Romans 12:1-3.)

God will Strengthen the Covenant of Marriage within the Church

Believers will need to make a choice to live in a way that pleases God, not in a way that is convenient for their flesh. Protecting and standing for the marriage covenant is very strong on God's heart. A plumbline will be set that upholds the truth of God's Word in this area. God is calling the Church to stand for moral purity. His grace and power will be there to help them truly live for God.

Yet you ask, "Why does He reject it?" Because the Lord was witness (to the covenant made at your marriage) between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously and to whom you were faithless. Yet she is your companion and the wife of your covenant (made by your marriage vows). And did not God make (you and your wife) one (flesh)? Did not One make you and preserve your spirit alive? And why (did God make you two) one? Because He sought a godly offspring (from your union).

Therefore take heed to yourselves, and let no one deal treacherously and be faithless to the wife of his youth. For the Lord, the God of Israel, says: "I hate divorce and marital separation and him who covers his garment (his wife) with violence." Therefore keep a watch upon your spirit (that it may be controlled by My Spirit), that you deal not treacherously and faithlessly (with your marriage mate). Malachi 2:14-16 (Also see Mt 5:31-32; Mt 19:3; Mt 19:11-12; Mk 10:2-12; 1 Cor 7:8-39; John 8:3-11.)

Strong Gift of Discernment

For those who desire to walk pure before the Lord a strong gift of discernment will be given to keep them from evil. Those who choose compromise will give way to a spirit of deception.

Then shall you return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who does not serve Him. Malachi 3:18

Walk in Reverence Before God

Although it may seem that evildoers are exalted and prosper, the Lord says not to be fooled by appearances. Don't be disheartened or fooled by the apparent exaltation of unrighteousness. There is coming a day of reckoning. Those who truly walk in the fear of the Lord will be remembered in God's book of remembrance. There will be a public recognition of those who truly walk in reverence before God.

You have said, "It is useless to serve God, and what profit is it if we keep His ordinances and walk gloomily and as if in mourning apparel before the Lord of hosts? And now we consider the proud and arrogant to be happy and favored; evildoers are exalted and prosper; yes, and when they test God, they escape (unpunished)."

Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name. "And they shall be Mine," says the Lord of hosts, "in that day when I publicly recognize and openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves him." Malachi 3:14-17

Proper Alignments and Associations will be Crucial for God's People

Be very careful what influences you let come into your life through what and who you align and associate with. The Lord is calling His people to come into agreement with righteousness and truth. Through proper relationship with God we will be better tuned into the "frequency" of the Holy Spirit and will more clearly hear His voice and know His ways.

What you come into agreement with is what you will empower in your life. God is dealing with mixture that has crept into the Church. We must break wrong alignments and pursue godly associations. We must align with truth, righteousness and God's Word. What you hang out with is what you will become (Josh 23:7, 12; 1 Kings 11:4; 1 Cor 5:9-11; 2 Thes 3:14; Rom 12:16; Acts 17:4; Prov 13:20; 2 Cor 6:14,17).

True and False Powers

There is coming a greater polarization between truth and deception, between obedience and lawlessness, between the true power of God and false signs and wonders. True, authentic power will flow out of a consecrated lifestyle. Deceptive power flows out of selfishness, iniquity and lawlessness, leading people astray.

And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error. And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity, but he who endures to the end will be saved. And this good news of the Kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end. Matthew 24:11-14

For false christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect (God's chosen ones). See, I have warned you beforehand. Matthew 24:24-25

God's Love is Coming in the Church

A revelation and impartation of God's love is coming in the Church where God's people will be motivated and moved by such a deep compassion from the heart of God. This love will release both a greater faith and a greater power in the Church. Just as Jesus was moved with compassion and healed the sick and raised the dead, so will God's people be moved with great compassion. This compassion will bring with it a greater release of God's miracle healing power (1 Jn 3:16, 18; Mt 14:14; Mt 18:27; Luke 1:50; Luke 7:13; James 3:17; Gal 5:6, 22-26; Eph 5:1-21).

The Name and Works of Jesus will be Emphasized

All the works of Jesus Christ will be seen and known. People will come into a deeper understanding and revelation of the power, glory and authority found in the name and Person of Jesus. People will gain a deep appreciation and honor for everything that comes through His name. Focus will be brought back onto the life and works of Jesus Christ (Acts 3:16).

There will be an Anointing for Writing in 2010

Those called to write and publish will come under a fresh scribe anointing by the Holy Spirit, enabling them to write and publish the heart and mind of God.

Word for 2010!

Jeremy Caris:

Strategic Word for 2010:
What Did You Do Next Summer?

Intro by Ryan Wyatt:

I highly recommend Jeremy Caris. I have known Jeremy for several years and have had the privilege of seeing, first hand, his close and powerful relationship with the Lord and the fruit that has come from it. Jeremy has an incredible ability to teach on the deep things of the Holy Spirit in a way that leaves everyone with a deeper understanding and life-changing revelation of the mysteries of God.

Ryan Wyatt, Founder

Abiding Glory Ministries & The Habitation Church

For several months now, I have been sensing that God was wanting me to release a strategic word concerning 2010. Of course, to write such a thing means that He must first speak to you and you must look to see what He will say to you (Habakkuk 2:1). It's amazing to find that as much as I want to hear, I still occasionally find myself disregarding what He is saying to me. The phrase that I had been repeatedly hearing and brushing off through the last months of 2009 was, "What did you do next summer?" I am sure you notice the apparent contradiction in that question which implies doing the future in the past.

...the Son can do nothing of His own accord, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. John 5:19 ESV

God has never intended for us to wander through life without direction and purpose. In John 5:19, Jesus revealed that His direction and purpose were defined by our Father. We can know what we are to do because He created us to imitate Him as His representatives in the earth. We need to see what the Father is doing and do likewise. He is already prepared to act and He is laying out individual plans for us to act on. We simply need to study them and resolve now to act on them. That doesn't mean passively agreeing to cooperate, but rather it means counting the cost and running the race inwardly before you even begin to move forward in the flesh.

You will know what you did next summer because you will have already seen what the Father is doing and you will have already acted in agreement with His plans in your heart. Then all that remains is to carry it out in the flesh.

Prepare NOW!

I saw a scene from an old World War II movie where strategic plans were being reviewed and studied with great care. There was a sense of the weight of responsibility involved in knowing each one's individual purpose and carrying it out to the best of their ability. Each would play a critical part in the successful execution of a larger battle. I see the summer of 2010 with the significance of the heat of a great battle.

It is critical for you to prepare and position yourself appropriately now, to be located where God directs you and to resolve to imitate what you see Him doing. When you are in the middle of battle it is not the ideal time to discover that you need to make major adjustments. Now is the time to study and resolve so that when it matters most you will show yourself approved (2 Timothy 2:15).

A Time of Testing

2010 will be a time of testing, but if you allow God to work in you, it will result in a revelation of Christ to the world around you for His praise, glory and honor (1 Peter 1:6-7). Any trial that God allows into our lives is an opportunity for you to put His life and nature on display. Remember: Your life is not your own, for you were bought with a price. You were crucified with Christ and buried into the baptism of death with Him. Now you have been raised back to life from the dead as a new creation, alive again for God's own glory.

Facing a trial should be considered a great honor because God has found you mature enough to face it and succeed. God never sets you up for failure, but He will never allow you to remain where you are either (Philippians 1:6). If He allowed His firstborn Son, Jesus Christ, to encounter trials, then we will surely follow in His footsteps. Jesus embraced that process and succeeded in His purpose only by going through those times of testing. It is not avoiding testing and trials that produces change toward maturity, but in going through it (Romans 12:2). Therefore, every trial is an opportunity for great joy (James 1:2).

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12 ESV

A Time of Fiery Opportunity

I saw four men in fire, as in Daniel, chapter 3. Fire often speaks of trials (1 Peter 4:12), cleansing (Isaiah 4:4), and purging (Malachi 3:2-3). In Daniel 3, King Nebuchadnezzar had ordered the furnace to be heated seven times more than usual and ordered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be tied up and thrown into the fiery furnace. As they were thrown in the fire, the very men who carried out the intended punishment were killed because of the great heat.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up." Daniel 3:16-18 ESV

The things that the enemy plans to use to destroy you in this season will be the very things that bring the goodness of God to the forefront in your life. Do not fear what the enemy may do, but be steadfast and rejoice in what the Lord has already done.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, "Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?" They answered and said to the king, "True, O king." He answered and said, "But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods."

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared, "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here!" Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire. And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king's counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

Nebuchadnezzar answered and said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants, who trusted in Him, and set aside the king's command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God. Therefore I make a decree: Any people, nation, or language that speaks anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be torn limb from limb, and their houses laid in ruins, for there is no other god who is able to rescue in this way." Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon." Daniel 3:24-30 ESV

Not only will God deliver you through fiery trials, but He will also bring glory to His own name as we lay down our very lives in obedience to Him. Those who boldly embrace the testing in this season will give God opportunity to reveal His mighty power through their lives which will open doors of opportunity and prosperity.

A Time for Becoming a Friend of God

"As I was in my prime, when the friendship of God was upon my tent," Job 29:4 ESV

True friends are going to be extremely important in this season, but friendship with God is going to be of utmost importance. Job said that he was in his prime when his life was one of friendship with God. There has been much emphasis in recent years on becoming the Bride of Christ, which I absolutely love and embrace in my own life. But I find the Holy Spirit speaking to me lately about being a friend of God. A primary result of remaining steadfast under trial is that it pulls you in to that deeper place of absolute dependence on Him.

Beyond having more of God, fulfilling your purpose, ministering to others, or even doing the Father's will, your greatest purpose is to be a minister to God. That may just sound like the correct thing to say, but it becomes a reality in times of testing. God will allow trials to remove everything you depend on more than Him. He will bring you to the place where you realize that nothing matters more than Him having all of you. This is the place where you begin to understand that every bit of your life is meant to be an act of worship. It will take your entire lifetime to fulfill, but those who have come to the personal understanding of this revelation are the ones that I perceive to be friends of God.

A Time for Increasing in Favor
with God and Man

2010 will be a year for increasing in favor with God and man. I have been seeing "6", which is the number of man (Genesis 1:26-31), and then "1", which is significant of God, who is the beginning of all things (Genesis 1:1). As I meditated on this, the Holy Spirit led me to Isaiah 61, which speaks of the year that the Lord's favor brings not only justice, freedom, and effectiveness, but also prosperity and the favor of man.

"Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks; foreigners shall be your plowmen and vinedressers; but you shall be called the priests of the Lord; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy." Isaiah 61:5-7 ESV

In the original Hebrew text for Isaiah 61:7, it basically says "therefore possess double." Doubling is exponential increase, which is multiplication. The Lord is restoring an anointing for multiplication. He has been reminding me of when Elisha asked that a double portion of Elijah's spirit be upon him. After Elijah went up to Heaven in a whirlwind, the sons of the prophets noticed that the spirit of Elijah did indeed rest on Elisha. As the spirit on Elisha exponentially increased, it quickly became evident that he had grown in favor with both God and man. This is a season for the increasing favor on your life to be made evident as you rise up as priests of the Lord and ministers of our God (1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:6; Revelation 5:10).

Summary

• It is critical for you to prepare and position yourself appropriately now, to be located where God directs you and to resolve to imitate what you see Him doing.

• 2010 will be a time of testing, but if you allow God to work in you it will result in a revelation of Christ to the world around you for His praise, glory, and honor.

• The things that the enemy plans to use to destroy you in this season will be the very things that bring the goodness of God to the forefront in your life.

• Those who boldly embrace the testing in this season will give God opportunity to reveal His mighty power through their lives, which will open doors of opportunity and prosperity.

• True friends are going to be extremely important in this season, but friendship with God is going to be of utmost importance.

• 2010 will be a year for increasing in favor with God and man.

• This is a season for the increasing favor on your life to be made evident as you rise up as priests of the Lord and ministers of our God.
