Be ready for God's Transition and Reformation!

Joni Ames:
"We Are In a Time of Great Transition and Reformation"

Why were you born? What are you presently doing? Is it causing you to walk in more of your calling? What plans do you have to help you move forward and into your purpose, call and destiny? These are questions I was asked not too long ago.

While praying recently, I sensed the Lord speak this to my spirit: "My people must acquire the ability to learn from, yet release, the past in order to embrace the future and change history."

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.—Philippians 3:12-14

We are presently in one of the most interesting times in history. With the availability and use of email and Internet, each and every one of us has the ability to affect and direct the future of all mankind. Nearly all of us can become an instant news media source to the entire world just by using our cell phones or cameras to upload what goes on around us. Instantly, it can be uploaded onto YouTube—or by sending it to CNN or Fox News—and what you report can become today's top news story! In recent time, through the use of such personal media, we have been able to witness firsthand the literal restructuring of nations, right before our eyes!

"Change"

The dictionary defines "change" as: (1) to make different, alter; to make radically different, transform; to give a different position, course, or direction. (2) to replace with another; to make a shift from one to another, to switch; to exchange money; to undergo a modification; to put on fresh clothes or covering.

I often come across people who are "uncomfortably comfortable." In other words, not happy with their situation, stuck in a rut they don't even enjoy—but due to "fear of change," they stay in it! How long will we each continue to accept the changes that life randomly deals out before we actually have the guts to make the changes in our life that will bring about the type of conditions that could catapult us into greater levels in life, and into our purpose, call and destiny?

It's time to "Work Smarter, Not Harder!" How many times do people settle for less than what they are worth, even in a job, just to escape having to make changes? That even happens to those of us in ministry. In fact, it happened to the disciples. They wanted to change people, but they didn't want to change the way they were doing things. They were happy to stick together and work together in the same region—maybe even forever. But they were called to spread the Gospel to the world, so God allowed there to come arguments among them in order to make them uncomfortable enough to get with it and walk in their purpose, call and destiny, and spread the Gospel!

We are told in Acts 15:39-40: They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company. Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.

Sometimes we just get so used to those around us and what we are doing together that we forget—our job is to equip the saints, not be the only ones doing the stuff.

Fear Change?

As I've mentored various ones in ministry, I've sometimes gotten "comfortable" with those around me, and therefore lagged behind in my call to release them to go on to what they are to do, and allow myself to continue to bring forth others. I'd have a worship leader or other person that I absolutely loved and trusted, and I didn't want to change that comfortable arrangement!

Situations like that cause all of us to lag in our calling. We must learn to release what is in our hands in order to receive what is in His. And the truth of the matter is, when we allow ourselves to do so, it causes us to "graduate" to a new level as well.

How many of us do that though? For example:

• Parents who fear the "empty nest syndrome?"
• Ministries who don't want to have to find a new worship leader or children's minister?
• Businesses who could expand and have a greater effect?

Because of concern for our own comfort, we become fearful to step into the changes necessary to allow the other person to become who they are meant to be!

What type of change, effect, or legacy can we bring to help those around us (if we'd only be willing to change) when God gives us the opportunity to do so? And, how much of that will we actually accomplish if we do not allow ourselves to be flexible and receptive to whatever type of change is needed in order to accomplish it? It's not what happens to us that matters nearly as much as how we respond and what we do because of it. We must realize that His ways truly are SO much better than ours!

Did you know that fearing that which will NEVER happen is the main cause why our greatest dreams, visions and destiny don't take place? Sounds silly, but it's true! I have a counselor friend who says that most of the cases they deal with are due to fears of things that will never happen. Sales trainer Zig Ziglar says, "F.E.A.R. stands for False Evidence Appearing Real."

Satan is a liar and the father of lies—a deceiver; and comes to kill, steal and destroy. Jesus came so that we could have life and have it more abundantly. Whose report will we believe? We must believe that He IS, and that He is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek Him. We must love God—and thus believe in Him—more than we fear the enemy. As we draw closer to Him, God's perfect love casts out all fear!

Reformation

The men who fashioned our nation knew they needed a Revolution that would lead to Reformation. When you break down that word "reformation" it looks like this:

Re - Form - ation or Re - Formed - Nation!

When things need to be re-FORMED, that requires ACTION! — CHANGE!

Just as a potter is sometimes required to hammer out the old before "re - forming" the new, so it sometimes is with us. No wonder Jeremiah 18:3-5 says: I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the LORD. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand..."

Sometimes life is like an old couch, old mattress, or old pair of shoes: we are so used to them that, even when we need a new one, we don't want to take the time and effort to break in a new one. All too often we remain in an uncomfortable comfort zone, because we fear the unknown. Therefore, we never attain the success we are capable of.

As the old saying goes...sometimes we just need to "do it afraid!"

Kairos Moments

I have learned some things about "kairos" timing. Kairos means: (Greek: right or opportune moment): Fullness of time; the propitious moment for the performance of an action or the coming into being of a new state (Oxford English Dictionary).
Sometimes we have a dream or vision that we carry in our hearts for many years before it begins to happen. Then suddenly it is as if that "right moment in time" occurs. Suddenly (after maybe many years of waiting) a divine alignment takes place where everything and everyone comes together in proper alignment, and the suddenlies of God begin flowing! Kairos timing, simply put, is "God's perfect timing."

It can be likened to seeing a cloudy sky and then a small section of clouds part and the sun shines through; but the clouds continue to move, and just as suddenly as it opened, it begins to close again. When everything is "opened up" and we are in the midst of a kairos moment, everything is lined up and things can be done with ease, IF we just do it during that kairos moment! We can still do it when that kairos moment cloud formation closes, but then it is harder and must be done in faith and physical obedience, rather than in that anointed time when everything falls into place.

"Paralysis by analysis" can kill that kairos moment. Basically, it's likened to dissecting something in biology class. And just in case you don't know, when you dissect something, if it's not dead when you start out, it soon will be. Paralysis by analysis can also come from operating under the influence of a religious spirit. You will have prayed about or for something for 20 years, and then when it comes and you have to make a "rapid" decision, you move into fear and say, "I need to pray about it"—and end up missing out on it.

Obviously prayer is of importance, but if you've been praying for a certain amount of money so you can build a facility for your ministry and someone walks up to you with a check for that exact amount, what's to pray about?

Many times in Christendom, we use a variety of phrases that sound spiritual, but they can keep us from what God has for us. One such statement is, "I'm waiting on the Lord." However, in reality, we need to ask ourselves if we are waiting on the Lord or is He waiting on us? Let's FULFILL our destiny! We need to be sure that we don't let a religious spirit or a spirit of "paralysis by analysis" rob us of our kairos moments.

Write the Vision

I'm sure you've heard the old saying which says that the definition of insanity is doing the same things we've always done expecting different results. Truly, we can drive ourselves crazy by not fulfilling our purpose, call and destiny. So, let's not procrastinate or evaluate ourselves out of the changes we need to make in order to get to the goal. Let's begin to make even some small changes TODAY! It's time to set our goals and go for them!

Habakkuk 2:2-3 says: Then the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

Let's write our big goals down in a notebook. But, let's make sure that we cut a path to the big goals by making stepping stones of small, ATTAINABLE goals toward it so that we do not get discouraged. Let's put ourselves in a position to WIN.

Even Donald Trump says the difference between those who write down their goals and those who do not is that the ones who do WILL achieve them. (The ones who do NOT will NOT.) So, let's go for it! Let's WRITE the vision. Then DO it! Faith without works is dead.

"Write in a book all those things that were told to you by the Lord." —Jeremiah 30:2
But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.—James 2:18

Relationships

Don't confuse your purpose with others' opinions. Keep your goals and the blueprint that God gave you in front of your eyes and do NOT divert from them under pressure—or else it will end up looking nothing like what you started out with and what God gave you.

CONTROL has three distinct dimensions:

MANIPULATION - which tries to trick you into something.
INTIMIDATION - which tries to scare you into something.
DOMINATION - which attempts to force you into something.

If you feel yourself slipping into the old habit of trying to please people, DON'T. I was sitting in the midst of a group of people one day and suddenly as clear as can be, I heard the song lyrics come to me, "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right—and here I am, stuck in the middle with you!" As I sat there, I realized, "These people are talking about things they talked about ten years ago and have still never accomplished. And they are talking about other people the same way they did ten years ago. I need a change!" Surround yourself with RIGHT relationships.
Even the Bible warns us that bad company corrupts good habits: Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits."
—1 Corinthians 15:33

A while back, TV animal adventure man Steve Irwin passed away after having been pierced in the chest by a stingray fish while in the water. I knew there was some sort of spiritual lesson in the event, as well as the fact that we need to stay away from stingrays! So I said, "Lord, what are You saying through this?" To which He replied: "Watch out who you swim with. Toxic people talk sick. And they will pierce you right in the heart of your purpose, call, and destiny and KILL it."

Don't "swim" with time or money wasters. They will divert your time, attention, money, and energy away from your goal, and drain you of energy, life, and purpose. So many times people ask my advice, but when I give it to them, they argue with me. A situation like that is a waste of time. We need to realize that, when we spend TIME on someone or something, we are SPENDING our LIFE! And we will never get that time back! Let's SPEND our time—our LIFE—WISELY!

A Time of Great Transition

Bottom line: change is good. We are in a time of great transition. A transition is a sequence of actions which occurs when a process changes from one state to another in response to an input. However, transition is also the last stage of a women's pregnancy before the birthing. So often, transition involves not only a "new beginning," but the need to LET GO OF THE PAST in order to move into a new realm of the future, and no one can do that for us. Like the story of the butterfly, if someone helps it break out of the cocoon, it will die. For it is in that struggle that it's wings get strengthened enough to fly.

We each have to decide on our own to change or not to change. As we look at various aspects of our lives today, let's ask ourselves that Dr. Phil question: "How's that working for you?" And if the answer is that it's not going so great, perhaps we need to make some necessary changes to be able to move forward.

Let's Pray: Father, we come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus, and we ask forgiveness for not allowing ourselves to change in the areas where we've needed to change. We ask forgiveness for blame-shifting to others for the situations we find ourselves in. And we ask for the courage and strength to make the changes we need to make. We hand You what's in our hands that we have been holding onto, and we trade it for what You have for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Look for the New Day!

Mark Chironna:

"A New Day is Dawning: There is Coming a Breaking Through, a Rising, and an Opening"

Prophetic word of the Lord given by Dr. Mark Chironna on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at The Master's Touch International Church in Longwood, Florida:

For there have been days of sadness and sorrow. For some, there have been days of strange warfare. For others, there have been days of taking thoughts captive that never entered the minds of sons before. For some, there have been deep longings. For others, there have been deep yearnings. For some, there have been long seasons of silence. For others, there have been long seasons of pleading.

But for all, there is coming a dawning. There is coming a breaking through. There is coming a rising. There is coming an opening. For the eyes of the Lord are turned toward His sons, His daughters, His children, and He sees and knows and is intimately acquainted with the sufferings and the tests and the endurances that His people have been going through.

He will make His people a praise in this season. He will make His people a glory in this hour. For His affection is upon His people. His Church is His Beloved. His Church is His Bride. He will not forsake her. He will not disown her. For He now is revealing, through the tests of the sons and daughters of God, to principalities and powers, His manifold glory.

This season has not been for naught. This season has not been to wear you out. This season has not been to tear you down. This season has been to prove and manifest to the forces of darkness that the Church cannot be hindered; the Church cannot be stopped, and the Church cannot be thwarted for she will rise in this hour with greatness and glory. She will have weapons on the left and on the right. She will have dominion in arenas she never had dominion before. And God will make her young again.

I Am Going to Restore the Seasons of Loss

For hear now what the Spirit of Grace would say to those who have ears to hear: "I am making you young again. I am going to restore the seasons of loss. I am going to restore the seasons of denial. I am going to restore the seasons of betrayal. I am going to restore the seasons of strife, and when I restore them, and it will be in yet a little while, I will turn the captivity of My people and there will be laughter again in Zion. There will be joy again in Zion.

"I have seen the sacrifice of praise that has gone up from the ends of the earth. I have seen My people, who in the midst of their warfare, have lifted their hands high and have shouted the shout of victory even while the powers of darkness have seemed to prevail over their minds, hearts and spirits. Yet, even in the face of demons, My people still praise. Even in the face of dark forces, My people still rejoice. Now watch, for I am about to crush satan under your feet."

Song of the Lord, Bishop:

The Spirit and the Bride are calling deep within
The Spirit and the Bride are calling deep inside
Even so, come Lord Jesus; even so, come
Even so, come Lord Jesus; even so, come.
We're waiting for You right now
To come in Your splendor and power
The yearnings deep within us cry
We want to hear Your lullaby
Even so, come Lord Jesus; even so, come
Even so, come Lord Jesus; even so, come.
My heart within me cries
And the Spirit testifies
A new day is dawning in my life, even now.
The roaring of the lion has ceased
The powers of Hell cannot be released
For lo, He comes to bring increase
To your life
He rides upon your praises, high
He comes to you and you draw nigh
And as you lift His Name on high
He comes
Even so, come Lord Jesus; even so, come
Even so, come Lord Jesus; even so, come
Even so, come; even so, come
Even so, come.

The 4 Living Creatures

Conrad Lampan:

"Ezekiel's Vision: The Four Living Creatures Went Straight Forward"

As I was preparing notes on the first few verses of Ezekiel Chapter One, the Holy Spirit was quite talkative. In His particular way He talked me into reading further although the rest of the chapter did not apply to the specific theme of my sermon. He has a way to mess your head up! The Holy Spirit is not a pusher but when He suggests you read something He surely entices you to go and read it! He surely does! But out of what, sometimes, we feel is a mess, come some truths so deep that we have to sit down and take time to assimilate.

As I was writing down my notes I felt compelled by the Spirit to read on and He pointed to the verses that describe the creatures that Ezekiel saw in his visions. Those creatures which he saw are described as:

Ezekiel 1:6, "Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings." And Ezekiel 1:9, "Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward."

Which Way Forward?

The Holy Spirit asked me, "What way is forward?" And I went, "Wha…what?" And He said, "The creatures always went straight forward and they had four faces, so which was the way forward for them if they had four faces pointing to four different sides?"

Now He got me going. He was obviously up to something! For a week or so I could not get this out of my mind and kept praying for revelation as to the meaning of it all. In fact He got me there, and now He had to give me a way out of this enigma!

I talked about it with a couple friends and one of them said, "I believe it relates to what you've been preaching about Kairos where time is not measured in past, present and future, but in always present present, it is another dimension of time, and so, likewise, the creatures move in another dimension of space."

However that did not explain how they could move in four different directions at once. So another friend entered into this conversation and said, "Well, as I read what you wrote with the passage in Ezekiel, I keep getting the word 'expansion.'"

The Holy Spirit jumped in and He said, "Did you get that? That's your clue!" "Huh?" I thought!

The Dimensions of God is Kairos and Presence, Not Chronos and Space

Then it dawned on me—if you are expanding then you are moving like a balloon in every possible direction. Moreover, because you are moving in a different dimension, you do not need space to expand into, but rather, you make the space as you expand within His glory.

When Jesus moved the boat at once from the sea to the shore that was Kairos and Presence—it was not temporal space. When Phillip was translated to Azotus, that happened in Kairos and Presence, not in temporal space.

For the sake of space I cannot add here my own testimony. However, suffice to say, although I did not know anything about the mechanics of Kairos yet, I found myself achieving in a few months time what I did not achieve in many years! I was away from the Lord and obviously from ministry for some years, and when He restored me He did not bring me back to the beginning. He restored me to the point where I should have been had I never left!

Job had 7,000 sheep before he was struck and lost them, but when he was restored he had 14,000. He was restored what he had lost PLUS the increase as if he had never lost it!

It is the Time of Redeeming, Time of Recovering

THE HOLY SPIRIT SAID, "This is what I expect of My Church—just like the creatures in Ezekiel moved in every direction at the same time, My people should be moving likewise in a way that admits no backwards. There is no backwards in the Kingdom, always forward.

"But this can only happen within My presence. Just like the creatures were moving within the whirlwind and the fire, and the brilliance of the glory, the same way you are to move within My presence and expand My glory toward every direction."

Isaiah 54:2-3, "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, for you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited."

Wow! I said, "Care to explain more, Holy Spirit?"

The Holy Spirit went on and said, "It is the time of redeeming, time of recovering. All that you thought lost is not lost; it is there for you to claim back, to redeem, to possess. It happens in a moment, in My presence. Years long can be fulfilled in one day, and all that you wished, prayed, hoped, or even thought was gone is brought into fruition at My word.

"However, your time of fulfillment requires a place of fulfillment as well. The time is Kairos, ever present now, and the place is in My presence, ever expanding here. Only within the presence of God can you find fulfillment in your time because within the presence of the Most High, Kairos becomes your time. You don't count your time as days and weeks anymore, but in opportunities and promises fulfilled.

"Do not sit down outside to contemplate My Glory. Leave that to those who do not know Me yet. Let them who have not seen me before see My Glory. But you become a carrier of My Glory and not a spectator. From within My presence you will expand toward all directions, for as I live, saith the Lord, that My Glory shall cover the earth."

Moving toward a move of God,

J. Conrad Lampan is originally from Argentina and presently living in Wales. He came to the USA straight from the heart of the revival that hit his nation since 1982 which is still ongoing. After living and ministering in the USA for several years he moved to Wales where he now lives with his wife Claire and their three children. His wife and children are Welsh. Conrad and Claire are pastors of The Highway, a new church plant they started one year ago with two other couples in the city of Newport, near Cardiff in south Wales. They have seen amazing miracles following the preaching of the Word, both in their church and during their traveling ministry, with many miracles happening after a prophetic utterance, like the baby born to a barren couple exactly on the date she was prophesied.

He travels extensively doing seminars and conferences and ministering at local churches or regional gatherings, bringing a message of preparation for revival. Having experienced revival first hand in his native Argentina he goes about telling folks that revival is a reality at hand. The Lord has led Conrad to teach in depth about Kairos, moving in the time of God as a continual reality rather than isolated events. Last but not least, the Holy Spirit has given Conrad and Claire a burdened focus on intercession for revival that has led them to start Intercessors' House a virtual gathering of intercessors from around the world using web technology and local encounters. Intercessors' House aims to pray, seeking God's face to shine on regions and nations, bringing revival through deep intercessory prayer turning the focus from the need to God's presence.

Come Under His Shadow

Al Thomas:
"God's About to Use Shadows to Heal Again"

Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.—Acts 5:15

God uses shadows. I don't mean spooky, weird, strange or hidden things. He wants to use your shadow. In Acts 5 Peter's shadow became an "overshadowing" of the power of God. God's power wants to overshadow every circumstance.

Only when the wedding party ran out of wine was when they asked Jesus for help (John 2). No, the Church is not out of wine by a long shot. They thought they were doing quite well with their own wine, but never knew what they were missing until they tasted what Jesus could provide. I believe Jesus is saving the best for last. I see people in the Spirit laying down their glory and allowing His glory and power to fall on them. What a trade!

God overshadowed that party. Notice, shadows have no pride. They care not what others think. They go wherever they need to; they do not rebel. They seek no recognition or reward. They do not brag. The person casting the shadow doesn't do the work; the power of God does.

God's overshadowing power is coming! Are you ready? Are you willing? Let His shadow begin!

His Overshadowing Will Birth Signs and Wonders

Mark my words, not all who see signs and wonders will believe (Luke 16:30-31). Then there are others who believe in signs and wonders but dwell on them, caring more for them than the One who grants them. We quickly dismiss those two camps. With that said, some will believe because of signs and wonders (John 4:48). Jesus was attested to (proven to be who He claimed) by signs and wonders (Acts 2:22).

The early Church abounded in signs and wonders. I believe the current Church (you, me, and anyone who will accept it) can be "overshadowed by His power." Peter was, and the result was people bringing their beds and couches into the street that they might be touched by his shadow...touched and healed. Many are healed through the laying on of hands, but when people start getting healed by shadows, we've got a major move of God in motion.

I'm not a nut nor a weirdo, but folks, something is afoot, and there is a sense of expectancy in the Kingdom. It's been proclaimed, prophesied, whispered in small circles, talked about in crowds, shouted from the roof tops, published, emailed, picked up and transmitted by satellite, twittered and agonizingly interceded for. Now it's about here, ready to be revealed. The Gospel train is moving, the tracks have been laid, and many prophetic words will come to pass...but watch for the shadows, even yours.

What God's Overshadowing Means

In Luke 1 Gabriel is speaking with Mary, the mother of Jesus. The angel is telling her she will conceive a Son who will be called the Son of the Highest. She asks him how this will be? He says something very odd: "The power of the Highest shall overshadow thee" (verse 35) That word "overshadow" is the same Greek word in Acts 5:15 where "the sick were brought into the streets that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them."

Mary was overshadowed by the power of God, enveloping her in a cloud of glory and impregnating her with the Son of God. She abandoned herself to God's will. Peter walked in such holy recklessness and abandonment that the Most High overshadowed him and people flocked to receive and were healed.

God will cast His shadow on all who will not cast their own shadow. Signs and wonders will follow these people (Mark 16:20). Are these people elite, better than others or super holy? No, that doesn't bring miracles (Acts 3:12). They are people who refuse to quit. Battered, beaten down and fed up, they get up again and go on for God.

Rearrange the Furniture to Reach the Shadows of God

Notice, the first batch of new Believers (Acts 2:41) came into the Church because of a manifestation of the Holy Spirit (Tongues). They were overshadowed by God. The second batch (Acts 4:4) came in because of a manifestation of the Holy Spirit (healing the lame man at the Gate Beautiful). They were overshadowed by God. These were miracles that opened the floodgates of salvation for thousands.

People needed miracles in those days as much as they need them now. Maybe you need one or know someone who does. Overshadowing means good news. Soon, many prophets will predict God's glory overshadowing the Church. This is good news. (I have no use for doom and gloom, always giving out bad news. Yes, we all need repentance, but making people feel guilty makes people run from God, not to God. The Church doesn't need bad news. Sinners don't need bad news. They know how bad they are. They need the liberating power of God.)

I see in the Spirit the overshadowing power and love of God falling on the Church, causing many to bring their couches out into the streets and receive healing. Get ready to rearrange the furniture. Let Him overshadow you.
